Made in Germany. For over 30 years.
For over 30 years, we have been developing and manufacturing implants and instruments for surgery and trauma orthopaedics at our facility in Thuringia.
Short lines of communication between development, manufacturing, and logistics enable quick response times and direct points of contact.
By maintaining a forward-looking inventory of up to two years, implants and instruments can be reliably supplied – manufactured in Germany and usually dispatched within one day.
Treatment of proximal humeral fractures
Subcapital and multifragmentary fractures require different approaches to reduction and stabilisation.
The plate enables reproducible head screw fixation, optional medial support, and integration of soft-tissue reattachment.
The proximal humerus plate with double-threaded plate thread is a variable-angle locking plate system for the treatment of proximal humerus fractures. It supports stable fixation of the humeral head and enables controlled adjustment of screw placement to accommodate different anatomical and biomechanical requirements.
The system is designed to facilitate both precise alignment of the head screw as well as targeted stabilisation of critical structures in the proximal humerus.
This is particularly relevant in situations requiring stable head anchoring with simultaneous flexible screw placement.

Guided head screwing
Head screwing is guided via the guide block or funnel drill guide and enables controlled placement of the screws in the humeral head.
The implant combines variable angle-stable and angle-variable screwing positions, permitting differentiated fixation in the humeral head.
The secure fixation helps maintain the reduction under load. Variable screw placement allows for targeted positioning depending on the fracture morphology and bone quality.
This optimises subchondral support and improved stability in the region of fragments near the joint.
A screw option positioned close to the calcar helps stabilise the medial column and addresses biomechanically relevant stress zones.
This helps reduce mechanical weak points in the fixation construct. The system design allows the user to adapt to different situations during the procedure. The combination of pre-set and variable screw placement allows for screw placement tailored to the specific situation.
This is especially relevant if:
- the fragment configuration warrants flexible alignment
- different bone qualities need to be taken into account
- targeted support of load-bearing structures is required
The ability to place screws in a differentiated manner supports stable implant anchoring even under demanding biomechanical conditions.
Defined preferred angle
using the guide block, drill guide and screw guide
Angle variation ±15°
via the funnel drill guide
Double-threaded thread
for controlled force transmission and locking in the plate thread
Fragment fixation in the humeral head
Multiple screws in the plate head provide firm subchondral support and help ensure stable fixation of fragments near the joint within the humeral head.
Medial support
Screw positioning near the calcar for stabilisation of the medial column and to supplement head screw fixation, with the aim of reducing secondary varus collapse.
Choice of screw depending on bone quality
Choice of screw depending on the bone quality
The following screw options are available (from left to right on the Figure):
- Ø 4.0 mm angle-stable cancellous screws²
- Ø 4.0 mm angle-stable cortical screws²
- Ø 3.5 mm angle-stable cortical screws²
- Ø 3.5 mm standard cortical screws
This allows screwing to be adapted to bone quality and fragment size.
Precisely aligning the screws in the humeral head optimises implant anchoring. Improved subchondral positioning supports the stability of fragments near the joint.
Support of the medial column and controlled screw placement can help reduce mechanical complications such as secondary varus collapse or cutout.

Implant positioning and soft tissues
In addition to stability, the plate design also takes the soft tissue anatomy and surgical access into account
The anatomically adapted design supports reproducible positioning along the lateral aspect of the humerus. This makes it easier to align the implant and helps ensure controlled force transmission.
The plate geometry supports a stable connection between the shaft and the humeral head and enables structured screw placement in the region near the joint.
Low-profile design
The low-profile plate design reduces prominence in the subacromial space and takes deltoid coverage into account.
Suture fixation holes
They allow for the reattachment of the rotator cuff and the direct fixation of the tubercles to the plate.
Flattened distal plate end
Facilitates insertion of the plate along the humeral shaft, including through minimally invasive approaches.
Instruments and set configuration
The instrumentation supports reproducible screw placement and a structured surgical procedure.

The system is designed for structured intraoperative use. The instrumentation supports controlled and reproducible screw placement.
The combination of fixed-angle and variable-angle screw fixation options allows the surgical strategy to be adapted to the specific clinical situation without compromising the stability of the overall construct.
